Introducing The Cliffs: A New Perspective on Sedona

As part of the resort’s new chapter, The Cliffs, a new room category born from L’Auberge de Sedona’s acquisition and enhancement of the Orchards Inn, is a collection of 70 updated guest rooms with modern design and Southwest-inspired colors. Designed as an extension of the majestic landscape just steps away, each room includes panoramic views of the Red Rock mountains, king-sized plush beds with fine linens, a spa-inspired bathroom with rain showers, and expansive sliding glass doors leading to a private balcony or patio – ideal for taking in the awe-inspiring landscape. The color palette reflects the natural elements of Sedona, with earthy rust tones representing the Red Rocks, deep blues reminiscent of the sky, and rich dark hues inspired by Sedona’s starry nights.

Located just steps from Uptown Sedona’s shops and attractions, and just minutes’ driving distance from renowned hiking trails such as Brins Mesa Trail, Adobe Jack Trailhead and Soldiers Pass, The Cliffs offers a balance of adventure and relaxation – all within the serene grounds of L’Auberge de Sedona.

With the addition of The Cliffs, the resort’s accommodations will expand to 158 guest rooms. The new room category will join L’Auberge de Sedona’s existing accommodations, including The Lodge, Creekside, Vista, Garden and Spa Cottages, and the standalone five-bedroom Creekhouse, ensuring guests have a variety of enticing ways to experience the property.

“The introduction of The Cliffs marks an exciting milestone in the evolution of L’Auberge de Sedona, enhancing the experiences we offer while staying true to the character that makes this resort so special,” said Colm O’Brien, Regional Managing Director. “Whether travelers are visiting for adventure, relaxation, or a deeper connection to our destination, every element of this transformation is designed to enhance their journey. Each accommodation at our resort offers a distinct experience – whether it’s an intimate Creekside Cottage, or the all-new elevated perspective of The Cliffs with Red Rock views, every L’Auberge de Sedona guest is invited to immerse themselves in the natural beauty, serenity and spirit of Sedona from a fresh new vantage point.”

Expanded Resort Offerings

Beyond the debut of The Cliffs, the property-wide transformation introduces a collection of new and enhanced guest experiences and spaces, including:

  • Duck Pond Pool: Perched among the property’s cliffs, the resort’s new Duck Pond Pool provides a one-of-a-kind Red Rock panorama, blending the pool experience into Sedona’s rugged terrain. Featuring a heated pool, hot tub and private cabanas, the new pool deck offers unobstructed views, inviting guests to soak in Sedona’s dramatic landscapes from sunrise to sunset. A curated poolside menu features light, refreshing bites and handcrafted cocktails.
  • Refreshed Dining Spaces: Cress on Oak Creek, the resort’s signature creekside restaurant, debuts refreshed interiors and an expanded outdoor dining terrace, offering a seamless indoor-outdoor dining experience immersed in the sounds of Oak Creek’s flowing water. The reimagined menu highlights seasonal, locally inspired cuisine.
  • Additionally, Uptown Sedona’s 89Agave Cantina is introducing a new in-room dining program available to all guests, bringing authentic Mexican flavors to the comfort and privacy of L’Auberge de Sedona’s luxury accommodations. The menu features the restaurant’s signature from-scratch dishes made with fresh, simple ingredients, slow-braised meats, rich, unprocessed sauces, and creative cocktails crafted from an extensive selection of over 100 tequilas.
  • L’Apothecary Spa: The resort’s spa has evolved into a full-service wellness center, expanding its offerings to include water therapies such as floating sound healing and poolside yoga at the new spa pool, a new Essence of Earth Wrap mud treatment, and an outdoor relaxation garden. Rooted in the healing power of earth, air, water and fire, these new experiences complement the spa’s element-driven treatments and signature metaphysical experiences guided by local practitioners.
  • New Event Spaces: Perched on the cliffs, the new Vista Overlook event terrace provides a dramatic backdrop for weddings, cocktail receptions, and special events. With unobstructed Red Rock views, couples can exchange vows against Sedona’s majestic landscape before enjoying a creekside or elegant ballroom reception for a customized and unforgettable wedding experience.
  • Modernized Guest Rooms: All existing accommodations at L’Auberge de Sedona will receive a thoughtful design refresh, with the addition of new custom-designed furnishings, locally-inspired artwork, and an updated color palette featuring warm earth tones, deep greens, and subtle desert hues. Guest rooms include enhanced lighting, handcrafted décor, and reoriented layouts to maximize Red Rock or creekside views.

To further underscore L’Auberge de Sedona’s legacy as one of the region’s most alluring getaways, the reimagined property is now an esteemed member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. The resort has achieved the highest standards of luxury, discretion and personalization required of SLH’s highly-acclaimed community of hotels, and is also now available to book through Hilton.com and the Hilton Honors app as a result of SLH and Hilton Hotels’ exclusive partnership.

A Vision for Sedona’s Future

“Sedona remains one of the most sought-after destinations in the country, and our continued investment in L’Auberge de Sedona reflects our confidence in its lasting appeal,” said Shawn Smith, Senior Vice President Asset Management, DiamondRock Hospitality Co. “The Cliffs is a strong addition to further elevate the guest experience while also staying true to the natural beauty and character that makes this destination so special. By integrating these two properties, we are reinforcing L’Auberge de Sedona as a leader in refined hospitality, offering travelers a one-of-a-kind retreat in the heart of the Red Rock region.”

“To usher in the next era of this resort, our approach was to create visual experiences that feel like a natural extension of Sedona itself,” said Mike Dalezman, Principal Architect.  “From the new guest rooms at The Cliffs, to the new event spaces and pool deck, every element was carefully considered to blend into the contours of the land, embrace the natural color palette, and frame the iconic Red Rock that guests travel from around the world to see.”

To mark the occasion, L’Auberge de Sedona is offering a Bubbles & Bliss offer, allowing visitors to toast to life’s special moments surrounded by the natural beauty and tranquil luxury of Sedona. The offer includes a chilled bottle of champagne and custom-crafted chocolates upon arrival, and convenient nightly valet parking.
