Maricopa County Home & Garden Show returns to Westworld Sept. 27-29

The Maricopa County Home & Garden Show, the largest home show in the Southwest, returns to Westworld of Scottsdale Friday, Sept. 27  through Sunday, Sept. 29. The family-friendly show will feature over 1,000 vendor booths providing deals on landscaping, kitchen and bath remodeling, décor, painting and so much more. 

“This is the final show of the year and we’re looking forward to providing a Home Show for everyone,” said Katie Jones, show manager. “With only a $5 admission, attendees can participate in make and take activities, explore home improvement booths, talk with experts and more. We are excited to continue our ‘Billboards to Bags’ initiative with our fashionable upcycled totes – you can even watch how they’re made live at the show.”

• Glowscapes: Experience the “Majestic Desert,” a 2,500 square foot walkthrough visual experience featuring innovative ideas, outdoor products, landscaping and lighting.

• Silver Poured Hummingbirds: Step up and learn about live casting. Pour molten pewter into 1 of 8 molds to create your own special hummingbird.
• Handmade Headquarters: Free make-and-take craft workshops:
  • Paint a gorgeous Arizona sunset on a wooden plague. 
  • Learn various fine art techniques and delve into the art of drawing trees. 
  • Create your own fizzy bath bomb. 
  • Use nature to create textures on your canvas, then paint it all and discover a glowing neon masterpiece under a blacklight. 
  • Learn the delicate and intricate art of preserving ethically sourced butterflies. 
• Seminars: Free main stage seminars blend stunning visuals showcasing advice and practical demonstrations from home improvement professionals in their fields.

  • What You Need to Know Before Hiring a Contractor: Experts from the Arizona Registrar of Contractors will provide insight on various topics to guide you in choosing the right contractor. 
  • Proper Tree Care for your Home’s Green Assets: Do’s and don’ts of selecting, planting, pruning, watering and long-term tree management from the Arizona Community Tree Council. 
  • Greek and Middle Eastern Cuisine: Learn about traditional Middle Eastern cuisine, recipes, pairing and history. 
  • Perfect Tortillas: Learn how to make homemade tortillas like a pro! 
• Kid’s Corner Family Craft Workshops: Bring the whole family and enjoy the Home Shows’ free family craft workshops and take-home projects all weekend long! The Kids Corner craft workshops are for kids ages 4-12.
  • Live demonstrations of 3D paintings and hands-on assembly of a 3D character or animal. 
  • Use a variety of colorful beads and create a personalized beaded pen.

• Fur-ever Pet Adoptions: Maricopa County Animal Care & Control will be offering on-site dog adoptions. If you’re not ready to adopt a dog – you can participate by bringing in pet items for free admission into the Home Show.

COST: General Admission: $5 daily for adults, kids ages 0-12 are free.

Senior Morning: Friday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., $3 admission for guests 60 and older with valid ID. 

Customer Appreciation: FREE admission Friday & Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. 

Teacher Appreciation: All 3 days, $3 admission with valid Arizona school ID.

Military Appreciation: All 3 days, $3 admission with valid military identification.

Sept. Birthdays: Visit the Pink Prize Tent for a complimentary present with valid ID.
