Mochilero Kitchen, a vibrant culinary hotspot known for its authentic and innovative Mexican cuisine, announced the launch of its highly anticipated summer menu. This seasonal offering celebrates the rich flavors of Mexico, crafted with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that embody the spirit of summer.

“We are incredibly excited to share our new summer menu with our guests,” said Meliza Miranda, Co-Owner of Mochilero Kitchen. “Each dish and drink has been crafted to capture the essence of summer, using the freshest ingredients and staying true to the authentic flavors of Mexico.”

The concept of Mochilero Kitchen was actually inspired by Miranda’s brother, Jorge, who took two trips to Mexico in 2019 where he ended up visiting 23 out of the 32 states of the country. One of the most significant details that developed from his travels is the name of the restaurant. Mochilero, in English, means backpacker. 

“The menu and recipe development for our restaurant was inspired by the cooking techniques, towns, and markets I saw during my trips,” said Jorge Cota, Co-Owner of Mochilero Kitchen. “Our goal has always been to create a dining experience that not only satisfies hunger but also brings joy and a sense of adventure to everyone who walks through our doors.” 

Mochilero Kitchen prides itself on using only the freshest ingredients. Preparing each dish to order allows them to serve every guest their own unique experience customized to their liking. The new summer menu is seasonal innovation at its finest and offers an array of refreshing margaritas and delectable dishes. 

NEW Margaritas: 

  • Agua Loca: Muddled lime wedges, muddled watermelon, blanco tequila, lime juice, agave, cointreau liquor, pomegranate juice
  • Orange Creamsicle Margarita: Reposado tequila, orange juice, cream of coconut, lime juice, cointreau liquor, fee foam 
  • Cucumbrero: Jalapeno infused blanco tequila, cucumber melon juice blend, agave nectar, lime juice 
  • Blood Orange Margarita: Blood orange infused blanco tequila, lime juice, agave nectar, pomegranate juice

NEW Menu Items: 

  • Agua Chile: Marinated shrimp and scallops, jalapeno, serrano, lime, cucumber, red onion, avocado and micro cilantro 
  • Pulpo Achiote: Octopus a la parrilla marinated, grilled and served with crispy potatoes, onion and aioli Morita 
  • Campechana: Fresh shrimp and scallops poached, house cocktail sauce, avocado, cilantro, peppers onions, tomatoes and micro cilantro 
  • Ahi Tostada: Fresh diced Ahi tossed in salsa cahca, served with guacamole and pickled onion 
  • Duck Mole: Confit duck served with our house mole negro, pickled escabeche, peanuts and crispy plantain
  • Mochilero Chicken Cobb: Marinated chicken breast, bacon, romaine, boiled egg, grilled corn, avocado, cherry tomato, manchego cheese, poblano cream dressing 
  • Carne Asada Salad: Carne asada, mixed greens, grilled onion and cabernet dressing
