Downtown Phoenix is poised to welcome a bold new nightlife hotspot as construction officially gets underway on Pablo’s, the highly anticipated, multi-room destination from hospitality collective Saguaro Nights Entertainment Group.
A 9,000-square-foot historic building at McKinley Street and First Avenue is now being transformed into a richly layered experience designed to unfold room by room — moving guests through a sequence of distinct environments that shift in mood, material and energy. Demolition is currently underway and is scheduled to be completed by the end of the month, making way for new construction to begin.

The journey begins outdoors on the front patio, an open-air setting that feels like the threshold to a hacienda, framed by sand-colored walls, terracotta planters and softly lit desert trees. Built-in benches and generous seating invite guests to settle in and stay awhile, creating a warm welcome that eases the transition from the street into Pablo’s world.
Inside, the entrance hall sets the tone with a starry, perforated ceiling, guiding guests down the glowing corridor toward the courtyard. Framed by textured masonry and latticework, it opens to the sky, shifting throughout the evening as patterns of light play across the walls and floor. Guests drift between cozy seating clusters, low tables and the DJ booth, as the courtyard becomes both a crossroads and gathering space; a place to pause, reconnect and decide where the night goes next.
Other spaces offer contrasting moods. Pablo’s Living Room is the heart of Pablo’s House, pairing illustrated ceiling panels with a skull-lined wall to create a detail-rich setting. Anchored by a large central bar built for connection, it’s social, conversational and live; the place where strangers become friends and nights begin to unfold.
The Den embraces plush, maximalist comfort with a sunken velvet conversation pit beneath a mirrored ceiling and chandelier that catch and scatter candlelight and motion. Designed for long exchanges, slow drinks and late night lingers, it is intimate, indulgent and slightly decadent.
The Billiards Room evokes the spirit of a Mexican social lounge, where games, camaraderie and rituals collide. A vintage pool table grounds the space alongside dominoes and communal tables meant for drawn-out rounds and friendly rivalries. The walls are adorned with lucha libre imagery and collected artwork, with matches frozen in time, playing on repeat. It’s playful, nostalgic and deeply social, the kind of room where the night stretches further than expected.
Hidden deeper within Pablo’s House, the venue’s nightclub, Night Tiger, is where the night sharpens. Dark, kinetic and pulsing, it’s designed for late hours and charged energy. With a geometric, red-glowing ceiling suspended over the dance floor, this is where DJs take over, the crowd compresses and the house party turns electric. It’s an immersive room driven by sound, shadow and movement — less about spectacle and more about release.
“Pablo’s is all about creating a sense of discovery with spaces that surprise you, pull you in and make you want to stay longer than planned,” said Cary Prewitt, co-founder and managing partner of Saguaro Nights. “Seeing this vision start to take physical shape reinforces our goal of bringing a nightlife experience to downtown Phoenix that feels layered, transportive and distinctly our own.”
To bring Pablo’s to life, Crater, the hospitality division of Mexico-based Arkham Projects, leads the interior design. LGE Design Build oversees construction, skillfully transforming the historic building into the multi-room destination Pablo’s is set to become. Award-winning Barter & Shake Creative Hospitality will guide the inventive cocktail program.
