The 30th annual Chandler Chamber Ostrich Festival announces the addition of six new attractions and one new rides to the three-day festival taking place at Tumbleweed Park in Chandler March 9-11.
The Ostrich festival will feature the Bear Hollow, Dock Dogs and Paw Patrol attractions for the first time.
Bear Hollow
The Bear Hollow traveling show features expert chainsaw carvers who produce one-of-a-kind wood carvings. The craftsmen will be hard at work throughout the duration of the festival.
Dock Dogs
This high-energy dog show will feature expertly trained dogs jumping into a 45-foot pool, competing in distance jumping contests and more.
Jest In Time
Though Professor Smart’s science shows are primarily for kids, they are also entertaining for adults. The show is designed to engage even the youngest kids with juggling, comedic performances and more.
Pangaea Land of the Dinosaurs Playland
Pangaea Land of the Dinosaurs will feature dinosaur-themed bouncers and special appearances by the Pangaea Land of the Dinosaurs roaming dinosaurs.
Paw Patrol
Enjoy a meet and greet with the characters from Nick Jr’s No. 1 kids show, “Paw Patrol,” featuring all four of the beloved pup characters, Chase, Marshall, Rubble and Skye.
Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean
Pirates of the Colombian Caribbean aerial high wire thrill show incorporates the sensational Muricia’s world famous high wire act and the legendary “Wheel of Death” act all in a unique setting, which takes place on a thin wire cable 30 feet in the air over a giant pirate ship.
These attractions join returning festival mainstays including Mango and Dango, the Ostrich Arena, the STEM Tent and Storybook Live.
In addition, the festival will debut the Turbo ride. On Turbo, riders are taken for a 70 mph spin at the end of a whirling arm that swings them 120 feet in the air and sends them hurtling toward Earth in an arc generating forces three times the pull of gravity. The ride also features upside down and free flipping action.
Other rides include festival favorites like the Giant Ferris Wheel, the Century Wheel, Vertigo, Inversion, 1001 Nachts, Quazar, Pole Position Coaster, Wave Swinger, Giant Scooter and Scrambler, among many others. The festival will also feature kiddie and family rides, including the Spinning Coaster, Tom Kangaroo, Chopper Hopper, Spinning Coaster, Wacky Worm Coaster, Looney Tooter Train and more.
