Owl, the industry leader in adventure van accessories, announces its strategic plan to expand its brick-and-mortar presence across the United States. Over the next 18 months, Owl will establish ten new retail locations, mirroring the success of its existing off-road locations and providing the same high-quality install services and products.

“Expanding our physical footprint is a critical evolution for Owl,” says John Willenborg, Founder of Owl. “When customers are looking to purchase products that are in the thousands of dollars, they want to see them first. See the quality, the function, and know there is a human being they can talk to if they have questions after the purchase.”

Owl uses its own proprietary online data to place each location at the epicenter of overlanding communities. “This data-driven approach ensures that our new locations are placed where they will most benefit our customers.” Willenborg explains.

Each new location will offer the full range of Owl Van’s products, including all existing items and new products developed during the rollout period. These locations will also expand their offerings to include a broader range of Overlanding parts, catering to vehicles like Grenadier, trucks, and Jeeps, encompassing the broader overlanding category. There is no Overlanding retail locations like Bass Pro Shops or Cabelas, Owl can be that for the overlanding world

“Our financial risk is quite low because we can use our Adventure Van business to open the locations and cover the costs. We are then able to expand our offerings to more categories that might not sustain a retail location on its own. It is a totally new and unique expansion technique and one that has been quite successful for us.”

Owl envisions significant growth within the next three to five years, aiming to reach 90% of its customers within a few-hours drive of its locations. It also plans to have robust display showrooms inside all its locations, allowing customers to see, touch, and feel parts before purchasing to increase customer satisfaction and confidence in their purchases.
