FOOD NEWS: 25 places for great patio dining in Arizona

“We’re excited to bring Cane’s to Buckeye and share our One Love with the community,” said Sara Roth, Raising Cane’s regional leader of restaurants.

“From hand-battered chicken fingers to our signature Cane’s sauce, our goal is to provide ‘Caniacs’ with a place to enjoy great food, connect with friends and family, and celebrate everything that makes Buckeye special. We’re proud to create local jobs, support community events, and offer a welcoming space where residents can gather, make memories, and experience the flavor and fun that Cane’s is known for.

Located at 1080 N. Verrado Way, the new restaurant features a roomy dining area and a drive-thru, serving a lineup of hand‑battered, cooked‑to‑order chicken fingers, Cane’s toast, coleslaw, crinkle‑cut fries, and its signature sauce.

Roth encourages fans to arrive early — ideally before 9 a.m. The restaurant will hold a “Lucky 20” drawing, offering 20 guests ages 13 and older a chance to win free Cane’s for a year. Entries are accepted from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., with winners announced at 8:30. Participants must be on-site to claim their prizes.

The Arizona Cardinals cheerleaders bring game-day spirit to Buckeye from 8 to 9 a.m. Big Red will stop by from 10 to 11 a.m. for photo ops.

A Cane’s-branded trucker hat and a free box combo card, valid for a future visit, are available for the first 100 combos purchased in the restaurant. Limit one hat and card per combo purchased, while supplies last.

The first customer in line will receive a gift basket.

The restaurant’s chicken fingers begin with premium chicken marinated for at least 24 hours and cooked fresh to order for Cane’s signature flavor. Hours are 9 a.m. to 2 a.m. Sunday to Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

The Buckeye restaurant is adorned with memorabilia from landmarks like Verrado, Youngker and Canyon high schools, vintage Buckeye Canal and train photos, Buckeye marathon medals and historical postcards.

Additional touches honor Arizona sports and regional pride, like Phoenix Suns and Mercury pennants, an Arizona Rattlers foam finger, and an Arizona Diamondbacks 2001 championship T-shirt.
