Considered among the most romantic restaurants in the world with one of the best views, it’s no wonder that Travel Channel’s “Food Paradise” chose Chef Lisa Dahl’s Mariposa Latin Inspired Grill in Sedona as the featured restaurant for its upcoming “Date Night” episode.
Airing Sunday, April 29 at 7 p.m., Dahl will show off her culinary chops along with her most crave-worthy dishes on the popular weekly show featuring the must-see food spots across the country that offer unique dining experiences for guests. Other notable restaurants that have been featured include America’s first pizzeria, Lombardi’s Pizza in New York City; the original Bob’s Big Boy in Burbank, Calif.; the iconic steakhouse, The Palm Restaurant in Manhattan; and Lawry’s The Prime Rib in Beverly Hills, Calif.
“To have Mariposa and Sedona featured on the national stage by Travel Channel is a dream come true,” said Dahl. “When it comes to romance, we host couples from all over the world who are celebrating milestones, both big and small. No matter the occasion, we ensure the cuisine, the expansive wine menu, the service and the views all make for an unforgettable dining experience. It’s an honor to be able to showcase the best of what we do.”
As one of the country’s leading female chefs and restaurateurs, Dahl is a self-taught, James Beard House-featured chef who is widely credited for Sedona’s recent emergence as a national “foodie destination.” Dahl introduced fine dining to Sedona more than 20 years ago and has since expanded to become the largest restaurant group in the area with Dahl & Di Luca Ristorante Italiano, Cucina Rustica, Pisa Lisa and her newest, most buzzed-about addition, Mariposa. Dahl also recently announced two new restaurants coming to Sedona later this year, Butterfly Burger, a “couture burger lounge”, and a second Pisa Lisa location.
