Chompie’s Restaurants celebrate 40 years in business
This Valentine’s Day, love – and flavor – is in the air at Arizona’s authentic New York City deli, Chompie’s. It was 40 years ago that the Borenstein Family — Lou & Lovey and their children, Wendy, Mark, and Neal — ventured west to bring classic family recipes from Queens, New York to Phoenix, Arizona. Fulfilling their dream to start a business, Chompie’s Bagel Factory was born on February 14th, 1979 in a strip mall at 32nd Street and Shea, and the rest is delicious history.
