Cibo e Vino is opening their newly renovated restaurant. Locally owned and operated by Executive Chef John Collura, the restaurant is located on the southwest corner of Scottsdale Road and Carefree Highway in the Terravita Marketplace.
Cibo e Vino now seats a total of 225 people both inside and outside after more than doubling in size from 2,200 to 4,500 square feet. A brand new uncovered patio was added out front with brightly colored umbrellas to enhance the comfortable atmosphere. A second patio is available to rent and can accommodate parties up to 75.
Also added, an inviting indoor/outdoor bar that seats 30 guests. With a fully stocked bar and nine flat screen, high definition TVs, this contemporary style bar is perfect for watching your favorite game or enjoying a cool, refreshing cocktail. With happy hour daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and all day on Sunday, there’s plenty of reasons to celebrate.
Though the restaurant space has seen some changes, the delicious food remains constant. Sink your teeth into the Pistachio Crusted Sea Bass, a mix of fine herbs and white wine beurre blanc served with garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. Try one of their Margherita pizzas topped with garlic Romano, tomato, mozzarella and basil. Another favorite on the menu is the Shrimp Scampi. Served with jumbo shrimp and sautéed in a garlic lemon sauce this signature dish comes with spinach and a side of pasta.
“I cook with my heart and soul because it’s the only way I know how,” said Collura. “Each of these dishes is a family recipe with my own personal twist.”
When he’s not behind the kitchen, Collura can be seen greeting customers at the door and walking up to tables, enhancing the family-friendly atmosphere.
