Exciting developments are underway at Desert Ridge Marketplace and Tempe Marketplace, as the shopping centers prepare to welcome several in-demand retailers and restaurants to their respective properties this fall.

With a combined 2.5 million square feet of space drawing 30 million visitors annually, the two Vestar-operated shopping centers are already home to a wide array of tenants that serve the needs and wants of customers from every walk of life. This fall, more tenants will be added to the mix.

“Bringing new retailers, dining establishments and service providers to the centers helps refresh our offerings while enhancing our customers’ shopping and dining experiences,” said Denise Hart, Vice President of Marketing for Vestar. “We continue to deliver fun and exciting events and experiences at our centers, including opportunities for kids to enjoy our splash pads and meet their favorite characters, and for adults to enjoy free live music every Friday and Saturday evening.”

This fall, Desert Ridge Marketplace will be home for lifestyle and wellness brands Amazing Lash Studio, The Joint, and The Beauty District as well as Kay Jewelers. Additionally, the center has seen an upswing in the demand for fresh, natural foods. As such, MidiCi: The Neapolitan Pizza Company, which is a novel, first-to-market pizza parlor, and Nekter Juice Bar will join the recently-opened Chipotle Mexican Grill at the center. A Korean barbecue restaurant called Sizzle, from the same owners of Nori Sushi, also will satiate cravings for Asian-inspired dishes.

At Tempe Marketplace, European-inspired hairdressing salon Toni & Guy will open in October along with specialty chocolatier Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory and eclectic novelty retailer Spencer’s Gifts both opening in November. The center’s Paradise Bakery was also recently converted into a Panera Bread, with state-of-the-art, self-serve kiosks.

“Busy consumers want conveniences,” said Hart. “Desert Ridge Marketplace and Tempe Marketplace bring all of your shopping, dining and entertainment needs to one place.”

This year, Desert Ridge Marketplace celebrates its 15th anniversary. Next year, Tempe Marketplace will mark 10 years of bringing new lifestyle and entertainment experiences to shoppers.

“The magic behind our centers is that we’re constantly evolving and innovating to deliver new experiences that shoppers are craving – whether it’s incorporating healthier dining options, responding to customers’ desires for specialty retailers, or creating a hub where they can reconnect with friends and neighbors,” said Hart. “Seeing ourselves as an indispensable community resource first and a shopping center second has led us to the success we’re experiencing.”
