The Giving Tree Cafe, a brand new concept focused on organic and vegetarian cuisine was opened this month in downtown Phoenix by David Warr, the founder and former executive chef of Sedona’s nationally recognized eatery, ChocolaTree. Warr has developed a menu full of fresh flavors available with a casual atmosphere in a convenient downtown Phoenix location at 7th St. near McDowell Rd. 

“Giving Tree Cafe is our expression of an authentic world of sustainable abundance, a reflection of our connection to spirit,” said Warr. “We choose wholesome organic ingredients to honor our Mother Earth, our guests and ourselves. We respect our place in the web of all life.”

Giving Tree Cafe is founded on the principles of healthy, gluten-free, organic and vegetarian dining with focuses on ayurvedic healing, food combining and top-quality, often locally sourced ingredients. It will offer all-day breakfast with standout items such as homemade banana bread, avocado toast, waffles, as well as a menu full of coffees and lattes crafted with nut milks, a variety of wellness shots, nurturing smoothies, and cold-pressed juices. An impressive 99% of the menu is made in-house.

Lunch and dinner offerings will include health conscious variations of  soups, salads and sandwiches. For entrees, guests can look forward to a lineup of pastas, quinoa bowls, and even Lion’s Mane mushroom mole tacos, and affordably priced at $13 or under. The dinner menu will be accompanied by a selection of wine, beer and cocktails made with high quality ingredients from local purveyors. 

In addition to the extensive in-restaurant dining program, The Giving Tree will offer grab-and-go items including juices, sandwiches, wraps and desserts. 

Guests will be greeted by an open, sunlit restaurant with stunning crystals, a large salt lamp and live plants, creating a vibrant, high-energy space to compliment the wholesome and colorful menu. With its community-focused, bright atmosphere and wellness-oriented merchant area, the restaurant aims to inspire community members to be the best version of themselves through healthy food and sustainable dining.

Located in the heart of downtown Phoenix at 2024 N. 7th St, the 3200 square ft., the restaurant will seat 100 guests and will be open everyday from 10:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the takeaway service beginning at 7:00 a.m. on weekdays.
