Aaron and Jared Pool, the brothers and owners behind Gadzooks Enchiladas & Soup in midtown Phoenix and Phoenix’s Arcadia neighborhood, announced the latest location their popular fast-casual Mexican restaurant is opening on Monday, April 15 at 505 W. University Drive in Tempe at 11 am. Housed inside a standalone, stylishly remodeled space at the intersection of University Drive & Wilson Street, just west of Mill Avenue and ASU’s Tempe campus. Fans can line up early on opening day, and 10 people in line will win free enchiladas for a year.

Formerly home to a nonprofit youth center, the Gadzooks in Tempe transformed into a striking 1,972 sq.-ft. restaurant, not including the 370-square-foot outdoor dining patio. The new location features Gadzook’s signature modern look, including concrete block construction, bold orange furnishings and colorful accents, and a bright, airy indoor-outdoor layout. Tucked behind the service counter, Gadzooks towering gas-fired wood stone oven will be quick-cooking their award-winning tacos, enchiladas, soups-all fully customizable with Modelo Braised Bison, Sweet and Spicy Cornbread, honey vinegar slaw, pickled onions, hand-hacked guacamole, etc. Plus, don’t miss the house-made Osborn Oro margaritas, Wren House Beer from the Pools’ brother Drew, fresh baked cookies and more.

Aaron Pool says the new Tempe location would cater to new groups of customers, including college students and recent grads in Tempe. Pool says, “Gadzooks originally started as an idea in one of my business classes at ASU, so it felt natural to bring Gadzooks back to its roots in Tempe.”

Gadzooks Tempe is located at 505 W. University Drive, Tempe, AZ 85281 and will be serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week. For more information regarding Gadzooks, visit www.gadzooksaz.com.
