etta, a neighborhood restaurant known for its wood-fired dishes and led by two-time Michelin-starred Chef Danny Grant announced its highly-anticipated opening at Scottsdale Quarter on Apr. 6. Located at 15301 N. Scottsdale Road in the former BRIO location, etta will be the second concept in Scottsdale from hospitality group What If Syndicate, following the wild popularity and success of their steakhouse Maple & Ash.
“We are thrilled to be opening another restaurant in Scottsdale. This market has been incredibly supportive of us,“ said Danny Grant, Partner & Chef. “Many know us for what we’ve done over at Maple & Ash the past few years. Our new etta location at Scottsdale Quarter has a similar energy and vibe, but it’s a wood-fired restaurant with more of a neighborhood feel.”

“etta,” short for Henrietta, is French for “keeper of the hearth,” so it is only fitting that the wood-fired hearth be the foundation of etta’s menu offerings. Known for its flavorful wood-fired pizzas, freshly made focaccia, house-made pastas and fresh salads, etta’s featured hearth-driven dishes include fire-roasted oysters, wood-fired chicken and the fire-roasted whole branzino. The opening menu also will feature many of Grant’s signature dishes including bubbling shrimp, ricotta pillows and Sunday sauce meatballs.
The 8,000 square foot, single-story restaurant space is being designed by Heidi Lightner Architects. It will feature an outdoor patio and an indoor trellis creating a garden-like atmosphere with art by Kevin Barry that is inspired by the community and culture of Scottsdale. Guests can expect to experience a vibrant and comfortable atmosphere that’s great for dinner with family or a special celebration with friends. Guests will be warmly welcomed by an expertly trained staff and a memorable dining experience crafted from the love of hospitality. At etta guests can expect the unexpected, including Porròn & Polaroids, built on the Spanish tradition of sharing wine with a group of friends where porròn and a polaroid camera are dropped on the table, and celebration shots where boozy-crafted shots and bite-sized desserts are icing on the cake for any occasion.
etta Scottsdale will be open for dinner daily from 5 to 10 p.m. etta is family-friendly and dogs are welcome on the patio. For more information about etta, please visit ettarestaurant.com or follow on Instagram at @ettarestaurant_scottsdale.
