Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, based in Northbrook, IL, announced that it will officially make Mesa, located just east of Phoenix, its newest home in the Valley. The famous deep dish pizzeria is slated to open late summer, currently under construction, at 3510 E Baseline Road, Suite L5-D-103 in Mesa, AZ. It’s located in a multi-tenant retail building in Dana Park Village Shops adjacent to Panda Express, at the Northwest corner of East Baseline Road and South Val Vista Drive.
Mesa residents will have another legendary and delicious deep dish pizza place as Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria opens their fifth location in the Phoenix metro area. Malnati’s opened up shop in the Valley in 2016, with its first location in Phoenix, followed by Arcadia, Scottsdale and Glendale. The 2,100 square foot space in Mesa will not include a dining room, but will offer carryout and delivery only. The new location will provide curbside pick-up, no-contact delivery, and drop off catering services for hungry fans.

The Malnati family has become famous for their original deep dish pizza recipe, and top-notch quality and hospitality since opening in 1971. The pizzeria is still owned and operated by second generation family members as Lou Malnati’s son, Marc Malnati, continues to build the company, carry on the family tradition and honor their legacy. Celebrating its 50th anniversary in business this year, Lou Malnati’s currently operates over 60 Chicagoland area restaurants, in addition to, Indianapolis, Milwaukee and Phoenix.
Malnati’s looks forward to opening a new location in the greater Phoenix area. The company notes that although this is the fifth Arizona location, Mesa has long been part of their expansion plans. The iconic pizzeria wants to provide a taste of Chicago to the Windy City transplants, baseball fans and local residents in the East Valley. “Since our first location opened in Arizona, we’ve been welcomed with open arms and are so grateful to our loyal fan base,” Marc Malnati said in a statement. “Our team is excited to expand in the Valley and make a home in the vibrant and thriving city of Mesa.”
In addition to serving up their famous deep dish, the company strives to become ingrained in the local communities they serve. They will look to continue their tradition of generosity through fundraising and youth incentive programs, generous donation programs, and working with local charitable organizations in Mesa and the surrounding communities.
