Founders of the Valley’s favorite family of steakhouses, Steak 44 and Dominick’s Steakhouse will openOcean 44, a brand new seafood experience coming to Scottsdale in mid to late 2018.
Ocean 44, which is the brand new creation of owners and brothers Mike and Jeff Mastro, along with their father Dennis and partner Scott Troilo, will open in Scottsdale at the former Harkin’s Camelview space on Goldwater Blvd. across from the new luxury wing of Scottsdale Fashion Square.
Ocean 44 will be a complete new build, a free standing building surrounded by lots of parking and valet at the front door. With the help of design firm Testani Design Troupe, Ocean 44 will offer guests more than 12,000 square-feet of unique dining spaces with many options.
Jeff Mastro says Ocean 44 will offer a vast seafood menu with the same intimacy, upscale feel and luxury service as its counterpart Steak 44, but with its very own unique coastal feel, a complete departure in environment and seafood options built on the same foundation of quality and luxury personal service.
There will be no typical composed dishes, instead an upgrade to seafood fine dining with many of the dishes served a la carte but with a compound effect, so there will be multiple flavors and sometimes different types of seafood on one plate.
“Think oysters with caviar, and the biggest shrimp you can find, roasted shellfish appetizers and fresh fish with delicious flavor profiles,” said Mastro. “We are traveling the world to find seafood at an ultra-grade.”
In addition to its extensive seafood menu, Ocean 44 will also prominently feature the great steaks that its Steak 44 brand has become famous for serving.
Ocean 44 is scheduled to open at the end of 2018.
