Snooze an A.M. Eatery will open its sixth Arizona location on Friday, December 27, in the historic Circle Records building in downtown Phoenix. As Snooze continues to make a difference in Phoenix, its leaders are thrilled to bring their crave-worthy pancakes and morning celebrations to the downtown area.

The 145-seat restaurant has character with its well-known history and unique design, and Snooze owners look forward to becoming a part of the Circle Records legacy with their vibrant, retro décor and friendly staff of Snoozers. Check out five things you may not have known about Snooze, its owners and its newest location:

HISTORY WITH A SIDE OF HOLLANDAISE. Location is key when picking where we live. It’s important to us that we fully immerse ourselves in the neighborhood and find a place that feels like home – and the Circle Records building was a perfect fit. It has a story to be told and stands out architecturally – and at Snooze we’re all about embracing individuality. From the pre-existing brickwork throughout the restaurant, to the rounded building front, and the iconic tower, we love these special touches and left them fully intact, which means this location has a little something extra in terms of design. It’s also one of the only locations with a mezzanine, allowing guests to have a bird’s eye view of the morning buzz at Snooze. Given our proximity to Roosevelt Row, we’ll also be featuring special pieces of art throughout the space on an ongoing basis.

MAKE IT ‘BREAKFAST BUT DIFFERENT.’ Just last month, Snooze launched the ‘Breakfast But Different’ campaign. With these three words, we are working diligently towards having every ingredient – from chicken to egg –sourced responsibly before making its way onto the plate. From what’s on the table to how it got there and who’s serving it up, we’ve made a declaration to stand out and make a positive impact. Read more about our mission here, and check out our special Snooze manifesto video.

A MENU OF FLAVOR & FAVORITES. We’re known for our variety and creativity with inventive pancakes, bold twists on benedicts, and lighter breakfast options. Our signature menu items, like the sweet Pineapple Upside Down Pancake, or our savory Breakfast Pot Pie, are long-time favorites and have been on the menu since the beginning. For the holidays, we have our decadent Nana’s Hot Cocoa Pancake topped with white chocolate chips, a gigantic toasted marshmallow, and a side of Mexican hot chocolate to drizzle all over. To drink, try the Spiked Candy Cane Cocoa, made with Snooze’s special hot chocolate, tequila, coffee liqueur, peppermint, and vanilla, all topped with whipped cream, cookie crumble, and crushed candy cane. With January right around the corner, embrace the ‘New Year, New You’ state of mind with one of our Like a Feather options, such as the Makin’ It Grain Bowl with farro, black rice, quinoa, caramelized onions, mushroom, two cage-free sunny-side-up eggs, arugula, avocado, and tomato. Keto? Paleo? Veggies only? No problem. No matter the dietary restrictions or nutritional preferences, Snooze’s menu easily accommodates them all.

THE SNOOZE FOOTPRINT. We pride ourselves on being an industry leader in championing sustainable environmental practices and responsibly sourced ingredients. Today, over 95 percent of our sourced ingredients are “Snooze Approved,” having passed a rigorous set of standards which include ethical farming practices, as well as vetting the sustainable standards of the partner companies. Snooze also diverts 90 percent of waste from landfills through composting and recycling, where facilities exist. These actions have led us to be recognized with accolades such as the ‘Green Gilbert Business Award,’ where we were the first business to be recognized, and receiving national recognition through lists such as the Good Food 100 List

WE DON’T OPEN IN A COMMUNITY; WE OPEN WITH THE COMMUNITY. More locations mean more ways to give back to the community. For every Snooze opening, we partner with three local non-profits, and next weekend (December 21–23) we are helping to raise funds for several great causes at our Benefit Breakfast series. By providing breakfast for community members and donating 100 percent of all proceeds, we will make donations to our friends at Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels, One*N*Ten, and Keep Phoenix Beautiful. In addition to the initial donation, Snooze will continue to donate one percent of all sales back to local communities and will soon reach our goal of giving back over $1 million in 2019 alone.
