The Phoenix Indian Center announced details for this year’s Silver and Turquoise Ball. As an annual gala, the event raises money to support the non-profit organization’s social service programs, which include educational opportunities, employment assistance, cultural enrichment, youth leadership and community engagement. The event will take place on Saturday, April 11 at the Scottsdale Resort and Conference Center.
This year’s event will feature amazing live entertainment and culturally significant food, which centers on the theme of “healing.” The dinner will be designed by Chef Nephi Craig, an enrolled member of the White Mountain Apache Tribe, who has received national acclaim for his Native American-inspired dishes.
“We know that Chef Craig will provide a magnificent culinary experience for our attendees,” said Patti Hibbeler, CEO of the Phoenix Indian Center. “Combined with the live entertainment and the beautiful pieces that will be featured in our auctions, it will be a great night.”
The auctions include both live and silent buys, where guests will have the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind Native American paintings, sculpture and jewelry. The silent auction will take place during the cocktail hour, which starts at 5:30. The live auction will take place during dinner.
