Executive Chef Rebecca Tillman will join the Summer Chef Series currently being assembled at Uptown Farmers Market.  With an approach to food that is simple, back-to-basics and focused on seasonal ingredients, Chef Tillman will offer tips for summer cooking at market on Wed, June 10th, Wed, June 17th and Sat June 27th.

Tomorrow, Wed June 10th, Chef Tillman will be debuting her signature summer chopped salad, using fresh summer bounty from McClendon’s Select Organic Farm, including a rare, sweet non-GMO and Organic variety of sweet corn which Bob McClendon has grown locally for years.

Chef Tillman has recently been appointed as executive chef at the all-suite Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort in Phoenix.  An Arizona native who was born and raised in Phoenix, Tillman brings 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including positions at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa, Destination Kohler – The American Club in Kohler, Wis. and The Inn on Biltmore Estate.  A graduate of the School of Culinary Arts at The Art Institute of Phoenix, Tillman has also devoted countless hours to food-related philanthropic causes, and looks forward to continuing those efforts in Phoenix.
