More new businesses are calling Westgate Entertainment District home this summer with the recent openings of Proliant, which tripled its existing Westgate office space, CenturyLink, Security National Mortgage Company and the soon-to-open U.S. Air Force Recruitment Hub.
These new additions to Westgate’s tenant mix brings the total number of new retail and office leases signed by owner iStar Financial to 24 since the company acquired Westgate Entertainment District.
“Leasing progress continues for us on the office and retail fronts and we’re pleased to welcome these four new tenants,” said Jeff Teetsel, Westgate’s development manager. “It is a testament to the quality of Westgate’s mixed-use environment and unparalleled on-site amenities available to office tenants. Proliant’s success with hiring and growth in just one year is a great reflection on Westgate. Also, the new U.S. Air Force Recruiting Hub is a strategic, synergistic use for us with Luke Air Force Base just five miles away. Air Force service men and women already frequent Westgate and the new Hub will bolster the connectivity between Westgate and Luke.”
Proliant, a national payroll services company headquartered in Atlanta, GA, opened its first Arizona office at Westgate last July, which is among eight offices across the country. The company has seen major growth and success at Westgate over the past year and tripled its office space from 1,475 to 4,884 square-feet to accommodate an increased staff. On June 1, Security National Mortgage Company moved into a 3,400 square-foot office space with approximately 20 employees. On the retail front, CenturyLink just opened a 1,492 square-foot location next to Fractured Prune.
The U. S. Air Force plans to open a 3,050 square-foot Air Force Recruitment Hub at Westgate in November. The recruiting office is part of the Air Force Recruiting Services transformational efforts to consolidate recruiting offices into centralized locations. The transformations enhance customer service by ensuring there is a constant recruiter presence in the office to assist customers. Additionally, the increased professional training recruiters receive by being co-located with other recruiters result in better customer service for potential applicants. Air Force Recruiting projects plan to open approximately 160 Flight-Centric Transformation offices around the country and will keep approximately 200 existing facilities as satellite offices.
These new tenants are the latest additions to Westgate following the early 2015 openings of Fractured Prune, Hot N Juicy Crawfish, Crave Waffle Sandwiches, OPA Life Greek Café.
