“This recognition reinforces our long-term strategic plan and highlights what we see every day,” said Melanie Sutton, Senior Marketing Manager for the shopping center. “Physical retail destinations continue to drive shopper enthusiasm and engagement nationwide.”

Nominations were curated to a list of top 20 picks by a panel of subject matter experts and USA Today 10BEST editors before the public was invited to vote for their favorites. The top 20 shopping centers were selected based on factors such as the variety of stores, breadth of dining and entertainment options, ease of access and events that set them apart from other retail destinations.

The Best Mall category celebrates the long history and important role of shopping centers as thriving hubs of activity with diverse retailers, enticing culinary options, engaging entertainment and special events that bring communities together.

Scottsdale Fashion Square continues to deliver on all counts, with a special focus on the shopper experience. One notable example is the center’s ongoing efforts to expand its selection of in-demand fashion retailers and first-to-market brands. Recent additions to the retail lineup include Creed Boutique, Gap, gorjana, James Perse and Zadig & Voltaire.

In addition, the shopping center’s busiest and most active entry point—the south entrance near Nordstrom—was recently fully reimagined, creating an iconic new arrival experience that echoes the original luxury wing. A restaurant rotunda surrounding the dramatic new entrance offers space for up to five new culinary destinations with spill-out café seating, including Élephante, which opened in September. Upscale concepts Catch, Din Tai Fung, Teleferic Barcelona and Society Swan will complete the rotunda, adding to an existing menu of culinary hot spots including Nobu, Francine, Ocean 44 and Toca Madera.

Complementing its retail and culinary offerings, Scottsdale Fashion Square remains a community destination for seasonal events and activities including exclusive fashion shows, community fundraising initiatives, art installations, wellness programming and more.

“Knowing that shoppers see the continual effort we dedicate to enhancing their experience at Scottsdale Fashion Square is especially gratifying,” Sutton said. “We continually reinvest in our irreplaceable retail destinations, including this top-performing luxury leader, to ensure we’re delivering brands and experiences that align with the outstanding Scottsdale-Phoenix market.”
