DEEPER DIVE: Why a short-term rental shift could be on the horizon in Phoenix

So, which cities provide travelers with the largest variety of options for Airbnb rentals?

A new data analysis conducted by ChamberofCommerce.org discovered that Scottsdale, Arizona ranks second in the nation for cities with the most Airbnb listings.

The city also ranks No. 2 for having the most expensive Airbnb rates.

Overall, the city has 1,370 Airbnb listings per 100,000 residents.

Here are the highlights for Scottsdale:

  • Total active Airbnb listings: 3,497

  • Average nightly rate for one bedroom: $114
  • Average nightly rate for two bedroom: $151

But being one of the nation’s hotspots for Airbnb also comes with a hefty price tag.

However, rates have cooled slightly in Scottsdale as the off-season approaches. The average nightly rate throughout the next 30 days is $261, as of May 22.

Elsewhere, Glendale ranks 12th and Phoenix ranks 13th.

Overall, Miami tops the list of cities with the most active Airbnb listings. The city offers more than 1,400 Airbnb listings per 100,000.
