Chandler-based apparel and lifestyle company, State Forty Eight (SFE), has become an official licensee for Arizona State University and the University of Arizona. While SFE is not the first local company to get licensee approval, they are the first to create co-branded apparel with both universities. And, just in time for football season, the popular brand has debuted four new co-branded T-shirt designs for Sundevil and Wildcat fans everywhere.
“Achieving licensee status with ASU and UofA is a tremendous accomplishment for us,” says State Forty Eight Co-founder and CEO, Michael Spangenberg. “The demand for Arizona collegiate designs has been high for many years so we’re excited to finally be able to launch it.”
State Forty Eight began the process of getting licensing approval in 2019 and though a lengthy process, it was well worth it, says Spangenberg. The licensee deal gives State Forty Eight the right to manufacturer and supply products which bear the name, logo, or trademark of each university for one year, with the option to reapply.
“With this partnership we can now provide students, fans, and alumni a way to properly support their school and the state of Arizona, all at once,” says Spangenberg.
The new designs include options for men and women and all four are now available for pre-order online.
