El Tour de Tucson
One of Tucson’s most iconic and renowned community events, El Tour de Tucson is Arizona’s largest perimeter bicycling event. Attracting up to 9,000 cyclists and consisting of novice, intermediate, advanced, and professional riders the race zooms through the streets of Tucson this weekend, Nov. 22. For race-goers that want to get active but aren’t prepared for the highly competitive Sunday race, the 3rd Annual El Tour de Tucson 5k Run/Walk on Saturday, Nov. 21, is the best bet. The 5K will start at the El Tour start line at 7:15 AM and cruise through the wide neighborhood streets of Downtown Tucson. The finish is back near the Convention Center, at El Parque de San Cosme, just two blocks from the start line and expo.

Fall Artisans Market at Tucson Museum of Art
The Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block’s 42nd annual Holiday Artisans Market features more than 100 local artisans offering handmade and one-of-a-kind items. Visitors can browse original artwork, pottery, glass, jewelry, textiles, fine art, and gift items while enjoying Tucson’s autumn weather. Organized by TMA’s Museum Store, the market serves as an annual fundraiser for Southern Arizona’s oldest visual arts institution in downtown Tucson.

The Polar Express Train Ride
For more than 25 years, the Grand Canyon Railway’s Polar Express has taken passengers from Williams, Arizona, to a recreated “North Pole,” where Santa meets each child with a small gift. Families can enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, and the simple excitement of watching the story unfold during the ride. Reservations can be made online or by phone for this annual winter outing. The train departs nightly at 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. for a little over an hour, ensuring every trip takes place after sunset and features the season’s lights.

Christmas on the Farm brings a full lineup of seasonal activities, light displays, and family-friendly attractions to DH Farms. Visitors can explore Santa’s Village with stops like the Reindeer Stables, Toy Factory, Mrs. Claus’s Kitchen, and a visit with Santa in his Castle. Also featuring light shows, interactive technology, a Trail of Lights, a maze, skating, a petting zoo, and optional upgrades like the Big Bounce X Park and VIP Ice House.
