When it comes to anticipation, it is hard to say what people look forward to most about the Super Bowl. Is it the game? The halftime show? The Super Bowl commercials? On one hand, it is arguably the biggest sporting event in the world, but on the other hand, it is so much more than a sporting event.
In 2021, there was plenty of history being made on and off the field. First, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers became the first team to host a Super Bowl in NFL history. With their dominant victory over the Chiefs, they also became the first team to win a title in their home stadium.
On an individual level, Tom Brady notched his seventh Super Bowl title. How does that compare to his competitors? Well, since he won this ring with a different organization this time around, Brady now has more NFL titles than any other NFL franchise. Yes, you read that correctly. He has more rings than any other team in the league.
On the advertisement side of things, even more history was made in 2021. For the first time since 2007, the same brand that won best commercial of the evening also notched the second-place spot, as well.
