The USS Arizona Memorial Gardens at Salt River spans the exact length and width of the USS Arizona, with the Boat House relic near its center. Over 1,500 commemorative columns outlining the ship’s perimeter. Each column represents a life lost that day, while gaps signify survivors of the attack. At dusk, these columns softly illuminate, symbolizing that the light of those who served continues to shine through time.

As the USS Arizona Memorial Gardens at Salt River celebrates its 5th anniversary, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community (SRPMIC) remains committed to preserving history and ensuring that future generations honor the courage and sacrifice of those who came before. To mark this milestone, the Relic Room will be open to the public on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Visitors will receive a memento and are invited to explore this space of reverence, learn about the lives of those who served, and reflect on their enduring legacy.
