Founders Brandon and Camrin Knudsen started Ziggi’s Coffee as a small coffee shop. More than 21 years later, the company has expanded to approximately 120 locations across 23 states, including a recent opening in Mesa.

“Our spring menu is all about giving customers new ways to experience flavors they already love while continuing to expand variety across our menu,” said Dani Wanner, vice president of operations at Ziggi’s Coffee. “Matcha has been a growing favorite, and these new combinations bring in both refreshing and indulgent options that fit perfectly with the season.”

The Knudsens continue to oversee operations from Ziggi’s headquarters in Mead, Colorado, just north of Denver. While most locations nationwide are franchise-owned, the company still operates eight corporate stores in Colorado. This model allows individual shops to remain locally owned and community-driven while benefiting from the support of a larger brand.

“We really try to support local franchise owners and help them make their shops a place where people want to connect,” said Andy Linke, vice president of marketing. “That includes participating in fundraisers, community initiatives, and local events.”

Menu variety has also played a major role in Ziggi’s success. While the company offers coffee beverages, it also attracts customers looking for alternatives — including teas, flavored drinks, and its standout chai.

Looking ahead, Ziggi’s hopes to introduce more communities to its chai and expand thoughtfully, one neighborhood at a time.

“Even though we’re growing, we still consider ourselves a small business at heart,” Linke said. “Our goal is to make every Ziggi’s feel like a local coffee shop — because to the people who gather there, it is.”
