An impressive collection by artist Peter Max will be on exhibition March 23 and 24, 2013 at DeRubeis Fine Art in Scottsdale.
Max will be unveiling his new Masters series, interpretive works of Vincent Van Gogh, Monet, Pablo Picasso, Renoir, and Edgar Degas, conceived in his signature style and colors. These works speak to both a maturation of the artists’ illustrious career, as well as to his formidable training at the Art Students League of New York.
In addition, Max will be exhibiting his iconic portraiture of celebrities and luminaries, including two of Taylor Swift’s album covers, Grammy Award commissions, and the celebrity lifestyle. Also on exhibition and available for acquisition will be Max’s most loved and world-renowned works.
With paintings on exhibition in hundreds of museums and galleries worldwide, Max and his vibrant colors have become part of the fabric of contemporary culture. He has been successively called a Pop Icon, Neo Fauvist, Abstract Expressionist and the United States “Painter Laureate.” The artist has had the distinct honor of painting the last seven presidents of the United States and the world’s most loved celebrities, He has served as the Official Artist of the Grammy Awards for an unprecedented six years
Artwork is available for acquisition and attendance to the exhibition is free. Previews begin on March 21, 2013.
