Recently, Sonora Quest launched an employee colorectal cancer (CRC) screening campaign called Get FIT. Sonora Quest and Banner Health have partnered on the campaign to provide its eligible employees and their dependents with no-cost, non-invasive InSure® One™ Fecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) CRC Screening kits.
Arizona ranks 44 out of 50 states when it comes to CRC screenings, with merely 55% of adults aged 45-75 completing CRC screening tests during their recommended intervals. With a marked increase in cases of CRC among younger adults, it is more important than ever to encourage routine screening so it can be caught early when it is easier to treat and may even be prevented. The InSure One FIT kit is the only colorectal cancer screening test performed using toilet bowl water collected from a single bowel movement in the privacy of your own home. The test qualitatively detects human hemoglobin from blood in fecal samples and lower gastrointestinal bleeding, which may indicate colorectal cancer for patients at average risk. Since launching the Get FIT campaign, 14,800 kits have been delivered to Sonora Quest/Banner employees.
Sonora Quest’s mission, “Innovate to Advance Health & Well-Being,” is a guiding principle of this campaign—demonstrating how health care stakeholders can come together to innovate and improve health outcomes. This program brings prevention and health care to the forefront with convenient and accurate in-home screening kits.
As a leader in the healthcare industry, Sonora Quest understands that early detection is crucial. That’s why the InSure One FIT kit is offered to Arizonans through Sonora Quest’s My Lab ReQuest™, without needing a doctor’s order.
Sonora Quest also offers employer testing with InSure ONE kits, with approximately 5,300 kits already utilized. Valley businesses can run their own CRC campaign with Sonora Quest’s offering to support the effort to increase cancer screening and support early detection.
