The skyline of Downtown Phoenix is constantly evolving. Stand on any corner and you’ll likely see a construction project in progress. Here are 12 Downtown Phoenix construction projects that are currently being built and will likely change the way we live, work, and play in the city.

EcoPhx

Habitat Metro has broken ground on 70 purposefully sustainable apartments on the SW corner of 3rd Avenue and Roosevelt Streets. The completed 5-story project will feature over 3,300 square feet of retail space, solar energy usage, a car share program, greywater recycling and other traditional residential amenities.

Aspire Fillmore.

Aspire Fillmore

A 17-story, 254-unit apartment complex by Aspirant Development is well under way on the NE corner of Fillmore Street and Third Avenue. The project will have ground-floor retail and luxury finishes

Central Station

Two high rise towers will soon bring new residential offerings, student housing, retail and office suites to the transit center at Central and Van Buren. A total of 365 luxury for-rent units and 693 student housing beds will be added. Developer Medistar will also incorporate current light rail and bus infrastructure into the completed project.

Home2 Suites

Currently under construction at 2nd Street and Jackson, this hotel will be the first newly built commercial building in the burgeoning Warehouse District in years. The completed project will activate a long empty historic structure into the final build and will feature 149 rooms.

Valley Metro Downtown Hub

Valley Metro is extending their light rail system South and West with the addition of several new platforms in Downtown as well as a new Downtown Station Hub at the intersection of Central and Washington. Due for completion by 2024.

The Ellis

The 1922 Ellis building is currently undergoing a $10 million dollar renovation. The completed project will feature ground-floor retail, a daycare, speakeasy, wellness studio, co-living and co-working.

Moontower

Developer LV Collective has begun construction on a new 24-story, 326-unit multifamily development. The project will feature luxury amenities, ground-floor retail and is expected to complete in June 2023.

Skye on 6th

Hubbard Street Group has recently broken ground on Skye on 6th, a 26-story, 309 unit luxury apartment project at the corner of 6th Street and Garfield. The project will offer ground-floor retail, be LEED certified and is expected to be completed by Summer 2023.

Palmcourt Tower

Offering 354 luxury and workforce residential units, Palmcourt Tower has just begun construction (Q1 2022) at the corner of 5th Street and Van Buren.

Willetta 15

Willetta 15. The project will be a 3-story, 15 unit apartment complex which will have exceptional modern architecture designed to complement its two neighbors that we also developed, Willetta 9 and Evergreen 9. All residences will be oversized 1 bedroom/1 ba unit types, featuring luxury finishes, large sliding glass doors that open to balconies/patios, walk-in closets, and double vanities.

X Phoenix II

26-story mixed-use residential high-rise with 352 units. This 632,442-square-foot project is owned and developed by Chicago-based developer, The X Company. There will be 15,000-square-feet of dedicated coworking space and a bike storage room with 182 bike spaces and a bike wash.

Saiya

Real estate development firm Hatteras Sky along with capital partner Bridge Investment Group broke ground earlier this fall on a 23-story mixed-use high-rise apartment project located at First Avenue and West McKinley Street, in the heart of downtown Phoenix’s Roosevelt Row neighborhood. Located only a 4-minute walk from the Central Avenue Valley METRO Light Rail station, the new project, named Saiya, will feature 389 multifamily residential units and 12,550 square feet of street-level retail, including the preservation of the historic McKinley Medical Office building.
