Phoenix-based interior architecture and design firm Ideation Design Group recently hired Cindy Nathern as senior lead project designer for its Foodservice division. In the newly created position, Nathern will provide design direction and implementation for IDG restaurant and hospitality clients throughout the U.S.
“Cindy comes to us with almost 30 years of experience in commercial kitchen design for high profile resorts and casinos around the world,” stated Carl Schaffer, principal of Ideation Design Group. “Her knowledge and talent will be a significant benefit to IDG and our clients.”
Nathern graduated from the Architectural Drafting program at the Phoenix Institute of Technology, where she focused on residential and industrial design. After completing the program, Nathern returned to Nevada and began her career as a fabrication design detailer. Prior to joining IDG, Nathern spent 25 years working for Culinary Design & Fixture, Inc. where she began in drafting, before being promoted to design and ultimately was made Senior Project Designer. During that time, Nathern successfully produced designs for high-profile restaurant, hospitality, and entertainment customers across the United States and internationally, including Wynn Las Vegas, Harrah’s in Nevada and Arizona and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
