LGE Design Build completed construction of the 3-story, 40,000-square-foot Bahia 101, the first new Class A office building constructed in the Scottsdale Airpark since 2009.
Bahia 101 features 360-degree McDowell Mountain views, 14-foot clear heights and sliding doors on the second and third floors to allow fresh air in the suites. The building, on 2.5 acres, is accessible to Loop 101, located at the northeast corner of Pima Road and Bahia Drive in Scottsdale.
SAXA, a 20-year-old Scottsdale-based developer, owns the property and has designed Bahia 101 as an office condominium. SAXA has sold an entire floor, leased an entire floor and split up another floor into three suites for sale.
“This is the first speculative office space in the area since the Great Recession. Bahia 101 is 95 percent sold or leased by shell completion in early June,” said Jim Riggs, president of SAXA. “There has been significant interest, especially for our flexible office space. Bahia 101 marks the 10th completed office project for SAXA in Scottsdale.”
National Horseman Magazine is Bahia 101’s first buyer. The magazine will occupy 5,000-square-feet on the first floor. Ingenu, a leading San Diego technology company, signed a long-term lease for the 2nd floor and will move its corporate headquarters to Bahia 101 later this year.
Only 3,600 square feet remains available for sale on the first floor.
“LGE Design Build is proud to have constructed a building that has drawn such intense interest from the market and will serve businesses in the area for years to come,” said David Sellers, president of LGE Design Build.
PHArchitecture of Phoenix designed the building and Jacobi Interiors of Phoenix designed the interiors.
