LGE Design Build has completed construction on a 12,290-square-foot industrial building for Reel Men Studios, a film production and event rental company.

The new building, 3902 E. Broadway Rd. in Phoenix, features a new Hollywood-caliber studio with the business goal of providing a low cost and highly efficient production environment for new and existing clients.

The 50-foot by 60-foot, state-of-the-art studio features 24-foot ceilings, an acoustically designed interior, 3000 amps of power and a whisper quiet studio air conditioning system. Reel Men Studios also has makeup, green, and changing rooms as well as a production office and a conference room.

Reel Men Studios, a premier full-service provider with 17 years in the industry, supports hundreds of projects filmed in Arizona each year. Projects range from blockbuster and independent movies to commercials related to spring training and the Waste Management Phoenix Open as well as presidential, Congressional and voter initiative campaigns. The company serves clients from around the world that are producing footage in Arizona.

After outgrowing his former leased space, Jeff Becker, president of Reel Men Studios, searched for a new location for a year before the favorable interest rate convinced him to buy a building to meet his specifications.

“We love our new building. It’s tailored exactly to meet our needs,” Becker said. “Our new state-of-the-art studio will encourage more producers to film their studio work in Arizona.”

The new building features a large parking lot to accommodate Reel Men Studios’ 11 large box trucks and vans. The truck well significantly reduces load time and increases employee safety by enabling staff to load and unload heavy equipment without using a liftgate.

In addition, the building features efficiently designed storage and a secure after hours equipment drop room where clients can return cameras and foggers late at night or early in the morning without Reel Men Studios’ staff having to be on site.

“LGE Design Build had a lot of fun constructing Reel Men Studios. We enjoyed creating solutions to their specific needs for the studio, power, air conditioning, and the parking lot,” said David Sellers, president of LGE Design Build. “The building will serve Reel Men Studios for years to come.”

The building is near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, but not in the flight path to avoid noise in the studio.

Cawley Architects of Phoenix served as the architect.
