Dhruv Patel, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) director for solar installations at McCarthy Building Companies Inc., was recently promoted to vice president of EPC within the company’s growing Renewable Energy team.

In this role, Patel will use his experience in the solar industry to oversee a diverse portfolio of solar and energy related projects across the country. In his three years with McCarthy as pre-construction director, he has been highly successful managing the design of all of McCarthy’s solar projects as well as overseeing the procurement of major equipment.

“Dhruv has successfully built a team of design and procurement professionals allowing our Renewable Energy team to grow significantly over the past few years with projects in 10 states representing more than $400 million,” said Bo Calbert, president of McCarthy Building Companies. “His outstanding leadership is one of the reasons McCarthy is very competitive on solar projects across the country.”

His project highlights include the 212 MWdc photovoltaic Roserock Solar Plant for Recurrent Energy, Cal Flats solar facility, 32MWdc APS Desert Star and Luke Solar Plant, and 58MWdc Red Rock solar plant in Arizona.

Patel holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Arizona State University (ASU), a master’s certificate in Business Improvement from Auburn University and a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from ASU.
