The Greater Phoenix Chapter of IFMA, the world’s largest and most widely recognized international association for facility management professionals, announced board members for 2024-2025 and honored members and member firms at the 2024 Phoenix Rising Excellence Awards & State of the Chapter.

Monisa (MJ) Nagarajan Gomathi, CFM, FMP, SFP, FMG, LEED Green Associate, Facilities Project Manager with Terracon, was elected to her second term as President.
Other board members: Marshall MacFarlane, IFMA Fellow, Immediate Past President; David Ramiez, CFM, APS, Vice President of Professional Development; Stephanie Jones, Allied Universal Security Services, Vice President of Communication and Community; and Bobbi Jo Huskey, Partitions and Accessories, Treasurer/Secretary.
“As I reflect on the past term, I am incredibly proud of our board’s phenomenal work. They organized exceptional events for continuing education, career enhancement, and social networking, playing a crucial role in the chapter’s success,” Gomathi said. “Looking forward to the next term, we have an amazing calendar full of events planned that will provide even more value to our facility management members. Our new board is well equipped and excited to make all of this possible. As we step into our chapter’s 40th year, I am blessed and humbled to play a part in such a strong association. I am filled with excitement and optimism for what we will achieve together and am ready to lead the chapter with all my best.”
The Phoenix chapter also recognized winners with the 2024 Phoenix Rising Excellence Awards. The event was held last month at the Hilton-Phoenix Airport. Keynote speaker was David Trask, National Director, ARC Facilities. Trask is considered a visionary leader renowned for his insights into the future of facility management and organizational excellence. Award winners included:

♦️ Emerging Leader of the Year: Mridula Potdar, SDB Construction;
♦️ Helping Hand of the Year: Liz Remley, Service Masters by Desert Dry;
♦️ Committee Member of the Year: Lorene Gilbert, Roadrunner Paving & Asphalt;
♦️ Committee of the Year: Arizona Facilities Government Alliance, Chair Dawn Holst;
♦️ Associate Company of the Year: America Roofing, represented by Quinn Fries;
♦️ Professional Company of the Year: APS, represented by Dale Benz;
♦️ Associate Member of the Year: Tiffany Pennington, TEPCON Construction;
♦️ Professional Member of the Year: Jared Spangler, City of Peoria;
♦️ President’s Choice for Special Recognition: Gary Lovgren, City of Phoenix; Hutton Wachlter, IPSA Security Services; Dave Little, KM Facility Services; and Bryce Reynolds.
