The largest of the land acquisitions is at Avalon Crossing in Mesa, where Shea will build approximately 660 homes in five separate neighborhoods in the master planned community at the northeast corner of Pecos and Crismon Roads. The other projects are a phase 3 of Aloravita in Peoria (~247 home sites), The Reserves at Lone Mountain in Cave Creek (51 home sites proposed), phase 1 of 3 of Legacy Place in Peoria & Glendale (planned to be nearly 500 home sites) and Signature at Storyrock in northeast Scottsdale (~24 home sites).
Shea expects to begin building Signature at Storyrock in fall of 2022 with construction to begin in the other communities in 2023. Presales will be available beginning in 2023 for most of the properties.
“These projects will help meet the expanding need for high quality home options across the Valley as Phoenix and Maricopa County continue to grow faster than nearly anywhere else in the nation,” said Shea Homes Arizona VP of Sales and Marketing, Ken Peterson. “We are proud of what we are consistently able to deliver to our customers. These projects continue our tradition of making Arizona an even better place to live.”
With a long-standing reputation as one of the Valley’s leading new home builders, Shea Homes continues to assert its financial strength and weight in the industry, demonstrating its ability to continue to buy and drive real estate forward.
