Sonora West Development, the luxury home builder that has completed over 500 projects totaling nearly $1 billion since 2001, has broken ground on two new luxury developments: the four-home Camelback Palms community in Phoenix and the 31-lot Solace development in Carefree, Arizona.

Construction is already underway at Camelback Palms, where two homes have started and two more will begin within 90 days. The private, gated enclave features four custom homesites on half-acre lots between The Phoenician and Royal Palms Resort and Spa. Homes range from 5,700 to 8,000 square feet, priced between $6.5 million and $10 million, with completion expected by the end of 2026. The development offers views of Camelback Mountain and access to nearby resorts, dining and retail. Sonora West plans to sell one or two homes at Camelback Palms while finishing the others as spec properties.
Meanwhile, in the quiet desert town of Carefree, Sonora West is building Solace, a tranquil collection of 31 one-acre lots. Four of the homesites will be fully custom, with the remaining offering a selection of four thoughtfully designed standard plans. These plans include customizable options such as casitas, detached garages, ramadas, RV garages, flex room space, extra bedrooms, and additional garages. With square footage starting at 3,600 and plans ranging up to 5,500 square feet, Solace is designed for those seeking opulence and natural beauty just outside of North Scottsdale. Groundbreaking is expected in the coming year, with community completion targeted for 2028.
