DEEPER DIVE: Verrado in Buckeye will get massive upscale marketplace

Avison Young’s James DeCremer, Matt Milinovich, Alec Miller and Drew Sampson who are based in Phoenix are responsible for leasing of the center on behalf of the ownership, HCCJ Family Partners.

“Our Avison Young team is thrilled to see Sunrise Market begin construction,” said DeCremer. “Demand and leasing activity has been strong on this project with just 35% vacancy remaining prior to the project being underway. With robust leasing demand, we are looking to have the property pre-leased over the next few months with a strong mix of local tenants that will serve the Verrado community and existing Main Street retail well.”

Sunrise Market is situated just over two miles from Interstate 10 and Verrado Way interchange in a fast-growing submarket of Phoenix. It is also the last remaining new development project in Verrado’s Main Street corridor which offers a pedestrian-friendly small town America appeal integrating modern architectural elements that pay homage to the West Valley’s agricultural heritage, along with greenery, trees and community spaces. Once completed, Sunrise Market is poised to be a hub for shopping, restaurants, and services.

“Sunrise Market was designed to reflect Verrado’s community spirit not only in its architecture and sense of shared space, but also through the businesses that will open there. Many of them like Studio Linea, Degino Coffee, West Rose Wine, Thrive Swim & Ride and Signature Barber are owned by local residents who are deeply involved in the Verrado community. Their energy and level of engagement is palpable,” said Herve Sarteau, President with HCCJ Family Partners.

Other nearby retailers that are in various stages of construction will create favorable crossover traffic for Sunrise Market include Costco, Banner Health, Abrazo, Harkins, Target.
