Phoenix attorney Shawn K. Aiken has been admitted as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of North America’s premier legal associations. He was inducted on October 3 at the organization’s annual meeting in Chicago.
Aiken, a shareholder at Aiken Schenk Hawkins & Ricciardi P.C., is a Certified Trial Advocate (National Board of Trial Advocacy), selected by Best Lawyers as Phoenix “Lawyer of the Year” in Mediation for 2012 and 2015, and for seven straight years has ranked among Super Lawyers’ Top 50 Arizona Lawyers.
Founded in 1950, the American College of Trial Lawyers is composed of outstanding trial attorneys from the United States and Canada. Fellowship is limited to just one percent of a state’s lawyers and is extended by invitation only. To be considered for Fellowship, lawyers must have a minimum of 15 years trial experience. Fellowship is offered, according to the College, only to “experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility and collegiality.”
