On Friday, Feb. 23, 2018, Sonora Quest Laboratories, Arizona’s leading provider of diagnostic information services, showed their support and continued commitment to community outreach and education at the 13th Annual Go Red for Women Luncheon in Greater Phoenix.
The annual Go Red for Women campaign is an emotional, empowering social initiative that raises awareness about the No. 1 killer of women: heart disease. Approximately one woman will lose her life to cardiovascular disease every 80 seconds. The luncheon hosted by the American Heart Association spoke to the 80 percent of cardiac events that may be prevented through proper education and lifestyle changes.
Christina Noble, Chief Growth Officer, Sonora Quest laboratories, proudly serves on the executive leadership board of the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Phoenix chapter. “It’s important that we educate women of all ages so that they are able to be informed about causes and prevention strategies to combat cardiovascular disease. Many women are unaware of their risk and unique symptoms and we want these women to feel empowered to act for themselves and on behalf of their families,” said Noble. “Go Red’s mission is not only personal to me, but it aligns with our mission at Sonora Quest Laboratories in that we aim to lead the conversation about managing your own health and empowering consumers.” To that end, Sonora Quest laboratories offers Go Red educational videos in both English and Spanish on the consumer experience screens throughout the month of February in all 70+ patient service centers located throughout the state.
“It is sponsors and volunteers like Sonora Quest Laboratories and Christina Noble that make our mission possible. The goal of the Go Red movement is to educate women of all ages of their greatest risk factors associated with heart disease. It’s important to know your numbers and to be proactive about your heart health,” said Narissa Camacho, Sr. Director, Go Red for Women.
As Sonora Quest Laboratories continues to pioneer the movement of healthcare education and empowerment, their support of Go Red furthers the company’s objective to focus on wellness in 2018, improving health and providing innovative, affordable consumer solutions.
