Background: Spiro has been involved in the real estate industry for over 25 years and has been a party to thousands of transactions worth several billion dollars. Prior to founding ORION in 2009, Spiro worked for over a decade at a national real estate firm, where he won numerous awards for achievements in sales and service.
Source of pride: “Nothing makes me prouder than building a company and molding an environment with over 40 highly successful and competitive sales people that get along. I learned a while ago that no matter how productive an agent can be, it is not worth it if they are not ethical and know how to play well with others.”
Professional advice: “Be yourself. 90% of communication is not the words you choose, but the manner in which you are communicating the message. Early in my career, I overcompensated for my youth by trying to sound like I was a junior congressman and I came across wooden. I learned to let loose; to not worry about picking the perfect phrasing or wording and let your enthusiasm do the selling.”
