East Coast Saloons, the owners of restaurants and entertainment venues in over 30 locations across the country, are investing more than $500,000 to create a new scratch kitchen and mixology concept within Westgate Entertainment District that will open in the former Calico Jack’s location this fall.

Near Bar Louie and Saddle Ranch Chop House, The Lola is set to welcome guests this September and offer sharable plates and modern American fare. East Coast Saloons recently purchased both the McFadden’s and Calico Jack’s businesses at Westgate seizing an opportunity to add a unique and more refined culinary option to the Westgate lineup. The company will be completing a gut renovation and full remodel of the interior and patio that will begin later this month. Calico Jacks will close after its last day on May 20 to make way for the renovation over the summer months.

“The Lola’s food and cocktail menus will be focused on fresh, local ingredients with everything made from scratch and set within an industrial-like ambiance that’s creative and cool,” said John Sullivan, CEO of East Coast Saloons. Sullivan has a long familiarity with Westgate, as his company was the original operator of McFaddens when it first opened in 2009. The Lola takes its name from its founding mantra: Living out Life’s Adventures.

Westgate recently welcomed Fine Ash Cigar Lounge on April 13 and has two additional openings slated for this summer with Fat Tuesday opening in early June and the Manna Korean BBQ opening later this summer.

“This is the latest example of those who know Westgate best recognizing its dominant market position for dining and entertainment, and we look forward to another point of difference in culinary atmosphere that The Lola will add to our tenant offering,” said Jeff Teetsel, development manager of Westgate.
