It was one for the record books last Saturday, as Cramer-Krasselt swept four of the top five honors at the Phoenix Advertising Awards, the industry’s version of the Oscars.

Among the wins: C-K’s Executive Vice President and General Manager Kristin Bloomquist was named the 2015 Ad Person of the Year; Ian Barry, the agency’s executive creative director, earned the Creative Director of the Year Award; and Brian McIntyre won Copywriter of the Year honors.

In addition to the individual recognition, C-K walked away with 16 ADDYs, including Best of Show for its MGM Grand Las Vegas April Fools Day Wedding Prank, which invited the resort’s guests to pull a fast one on their families and friends by staging a fake wedding at Forever Grand Wedding Chapel. The stunt did its job of engaging guests on property while garnering national recognition for MGM Grand.

In all, C-K tallied up 11 Gold, two Silver and three Bronze ADDYs for a variety of clients and in a wide range of categories – from digital and social to television, magazine, out-of-home and collateral.

“It was a great night for C-K and our clients,” said Barry. “But while the awards are validation of our strategy and creativity, what really matters is the outcomes our work produces for some of the best brands in the Valley and across the Southwest.”

Hosted by the Metro Phoenix chapter of the American Advertising Federation, the ADDYs honor excellence in traditional and emerging forms of communication. This year, more than 600 entries were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges representing some of the most creative minds at advertising and integrated marketing agencies nationwide.
