Wealth management firm Miller Russell Associates hired a new investment analyst and client associate, while promoting seven of its team members within the firm.

Matthew White joins Miller Russell Associates as an investment analyst. His primary focus is on the firm’s investment research and due diligence efforts.  Prior to joining the firm, White served as an investment analyst for Cohn Financial Group where he managed the firm’s investment research and performance reporting capabilities.  He began his career in finance at Northwestern Mutual. He subsequently worked as an analyst at Wells Fargo & Co. and as a financial advisor at MetLife Securities. White holds a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University.  He is currently a Level III Candidate in the CFA program.

Samera Harvey was hired as a client associate for Miller Russell Associates. In her role, Harvey provides tax planning, tax compliance, investment advisory, and wealth management services to clients. Prior to joining Miller Russell Associates, she worked as a tax analyst at Drivetime Automotive Group and tax staff accountant CBIZ MHM, where she worked on partnership, corporate, and individual tax returns. Harvey holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both accountancy and finance from the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.

Mary Ann Hennelly-Favata was promoted to senior client advisor. In her new position, she provides investment management and financial planning services for high net worth clients. Hennelly-Favata works closely with the CPAs and attorneys of clients to ensure proper implementation of investment, financial, insurance, retirement, tax, and estate planning goals. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Redlands, California. Hennelly-Favata is a Certified Financial Planner professional.

Matt Walker has recently been promoted to client advisor. In this new position, he provides investment advisory, portfolio management, tax planning, tax compliance and wealth management services to high net worth clients.  Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Walker worked as a senior associate in the wealth management/tax preparation division for GenSpring Family Offices, where he worked with high net worth families in all aspects of the wealth management process.

Ryan Penniman has been promoted to senior client associate. In this new role, he provides investment advisory, tax planning, tax compliance, and wealth management services to clients. Penniman completed a year-long internship at Miller Russell Associates prior to joining the team full-time in 2013. He holds Bachelor of Science degrees in both Finance and Accountancy and a Masters of Taxation degree from Arizona State University.

John Brimhall has recently been promoted to senior client associate. In his new role, he provides investment advisory and administrative services to institutional clients.  Prior to joining the firm, Brimhall was the client service coordinator at Paul Comstock Partners in Houston providing wealth management and financial planning services to high net worth individuals and institutions.

Ena Dashi has been promoted to senior client associate. In her new role, she provides investment advisory and wealth management services to clients. Dashi strives to provide excellent customer experience by taking the time to understand each client’s situation and helping them identify solutions to their unique situation. She graduated from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in Spanish. Dashi is also a candidate for the Certified Financial Planner designation.

Pamela Houser has recently been promoted to senior client administrator. In this new position, she provides client support as an investment operations specialist, manages the client onboarding process and is responsible training team members. Houser has been working in the financial services industry for 15 years. Prior to joining Miller Russell Associates, she worked with the boutique firm Biltmore Wealth Management in Scottsdale where she served as the operations manager. Houser earned a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business.

Gina Farley has been promoted to executive administrative assistant. In her new position, Farley provides support to team members and assists with multiple office operations. She also serves as an executive assistant for two partners. Prior to joining Miller Russell Associates in August 2013, Farley was an executive assistant at Arizona’s largest online high school.
