Full-service advertising agency Owens Harkey (OH) Advertising has added to its list of nationally recognized sports and entertainment organizations by landing state two coveted new partners, the Arizona Coyotes and the Fiesta Bowl Organization.

OH is a leading force behind some of the Valley’s top sporting and entertainment events. Not only is the agency well versed in this industry, but OH has been recognized year after year as one of the fastest growing businesses in the advertising industry.

Since 2013, OH has made each Inc. Magazine’s Inc. 500|5000 yearly list, measuring percentage revenue growth over a four-year period. These two new iconic sports clients continue a string of major victories, including the Arizona State Lottery, which was awarded to Owens Harkey in May.

The company has a unique advantage to serving its sports and entertainment clients in the market. The agency’s massive database of programmatic and digital media buying capabilities has allowed the advertiser to target fans unlike anything the industry has seen before. This has led to record-breaking engagements, impressions and, most importantly, bottom-line sales for its clients’ brands.

The Fiesta Bowl Organization is the nonprofit organization behind the 45-year Fiesta Bowl game and the long-running Cactus Bowl event, while the Arizona Coyotes is the National Hockey League franchise based in Glendale, Ariz.

“As an Arizona native, there’s no better feeling than landing two sports organizations you’ve followed nearly your whole life,” Owens Harkey Advertising President Scott Harkey said. “We’re so excited to be a part of these two growing and successful organizations and look forward to taking their brands to the next level.”

The Fiesta Bowl’s vision is to be a world-class community organization that executes innovative experiences, drives economic growth and champions charitable causes, inspiring pride in all Arizonans. As a nonprofit organization, it believes in the importance of community outreach and service. Through charitable giving, the organization strives to enhance Arizona nonprofit organizations that contribute to the success of communities through youth, sports, education and human services. OH will be tasked with developing the Cactus Bowl and Fiesta Bowl brands, offering advertising and public relations services to drive ticket sales and sponsorships and engage the community.

“We knew we wanted to bring one integrated agency on board to assist us with marketing across all channels, and we couldn’t imagine a better partner than OH,” Fiesta Bowl Executive Director Mike Nealy said. “Having worked with Owens Harkey in the past for digital and public relations efforts, we knew bringing them on for full-service assistance would elevate our brands and bring the Fiesta Bowl organization to even more homes in Arizona.”

The Coyotes are entering their 20th season in the Valley of the Sun. The Coyotes play in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). On the ice, the Coyotes are led by the league’s longest-serving Captain Shane Doan, and one of the NHL’s best defensemen in Oliver Ekman-Larsson. Off the ice, the Club is led by Majority Owner, Chairman and Governor Andrew Barroway, President and CEO Anthony LeBlanc, General Manager John Chayka and 2010 Jack Adams (best coach) winner, Dave Tippett. The Coyotes moved to the Valley of the Sun on July 1, 1996. As one of OH’s newest clients, the agency will undertake strategy and creative services for the NHL brand, emphasizing in paid and social media to reach new audiences and drive ticket sales.

“We are thrilled to partner with OH, who has a proven track record of helping some of the Valley’s top national sporting and entertainment events,” Coyotes President and CEO Anthony LeBlanc said. “We are confident that OH is the best agency to help us grow our brand locally and nationally.”

Owens Harkey represents, and has represented, a wide variety of sports and entertainment clientele, including Sun Devils Athletics, Barrett-Jackson, Arena Football League, Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association, Firebird Raceway, Baseball City Spring Training Fanfest, Bondurant High Performance Driving School, Marine Week Phoenix, among others.
