Western Wealth Capital’s Janet LePage earns honor

Esteemed Champagne House, Veuve Clicquot, has awarded Janet LePage, CEO and co-founder of Western Wealth Capital, with its 2016 New Generation Award. LePage was selected from a shortlist of young entrepreneurs from across Canada.

LePage, 35 years old, has grown Western Wealth Capital, a Vancouver, Canada-based multi-unit rental property investment firm, to the 3rd largest multifamily property owner in Phoenix in terms of number of properties and the 8th largest multifamily property owner in terms of units, according to Yardi Matrix. Western Wealth Capital now owns 24 properties and 3,998 units in the Phoenix area.

The New Generation Award, part of Veuve Clicquot’s Business Woman Award program, celebrates emerging female talent across Canada between the ages of 25-35 years old. The award inspires conversations around collaboration and empowerment within the entrepreneurial community for young women.

“To be a part of this group of aspiring young women is true a honor,” LePage said. “We have all worked hard to get to where we are today. I hope our collective success and willpower inspires other young entrepreneurial women across the country.”

LePage recently received the award in Toronto.

A jury of business professionals and past recipients selected LePage and Andrea Scott, the co-owner of skoah who received Veuve Clicquot’s 2016 Business Woman Award, based on evaluation criteria, including: entrepreneurship, corporate social responsibility, innovation and financial success. The jury consisted of: Christiane Germain (co-president and co-founder, Groupe Germain Hospitalité); Lise Watier (founder and co-chair of the board, Lise Watier Cosmetics); Suzanne Bernard (founder Transit Truck Bodies Ince.); Sarah Casselman (senior editor, FASHION Magazine) and Shinan Govani (society columnist, Toronto Star).
