Current Meditation, the Valley’s first meditation studio that specializes in “meditation for the modern world,” announced today that it will open its first location in Phoenix, with an expected grand opening in November. Current Meditation will be one of the only health and wellness concepts in the Valley that solely provides meditation classes focused on mindfulness for today’s modern world, with the mission to help bring meditation practice mainstream. Current Meditation’s unique business model aims to create a hip and welcoming space that provides accessibility, convenience, and ease to the ancient practice of meditation, empowering and inspiring Valley residents to tap into the benefits of meditation- and use it every day- to improve their quality of life. Current Meditation is located at 4325 E. Indian School Road, #130, Phoenix, AZ, 85018.

Unlike yoga studios, gyms, and other health and wellness concepts that offer meditation as a small part of their overall services, Current Meditation specializes in mental fitness and guided meditation practice, combining scientifically backed meditation curriculum with a cutting edge environment that provides a place for people to focus on the practice of mental fitness as a part of their regular routine. Located in the heart of Arcadia, Current Meditation is a contemporary studio featuring chic décor and technology, such as iPads and proprietary sound proofing in its meditation studio, to embrace the modern world and offer a multi-sensory experience for meditation in the modern world.

In anticipation for its grand opening, Current Meditation will host a Sneak Peek Week in mid-November featuring complimentary meditation classes that are open to the public. The complimentary Current Meditation classes will introduce the community to meditation, its health and wellness benefits, and Current Meditation’s signature classes and studio. During the Sneak Peek Week, Current Meditation will offer all seven types of its meditation classes for Valley residents to try out and experience Current Meditation’s innovative concept first-hand,including its signature Aerial Meditation class, that can be booked on Current Meditation’s website.

Current Meditation’s group classes will feature a variety of meditation styles and practices for all meditators to choose from based on their personal needs, self-discovery goals, and individual personality. Classes offered will include Aerial Meditation, Sound, Intention, Movement, Breath, Imagery, and Mantra, which will be available seven days per week, with flexible and recurring class times for accessibility and convenience. Each Current Meditation class is instructed by experienced Meditation Guides that help facilitate meditators through their personal path of self-discovery, no matter the experience level, comfort level, goals, obstacles or personal challenges.

Current Meditation’s curated curriculum is designed to be a mental retreat and help us re-connect with ourselves, and just “be,” even within our hectic lives.

The 2,000-square-foot studio will feature custom handcrafted décor and furniture from local artisans that were specialty designed for Current Meditation to create a space flow that is inviting and fosters community. To encourage meditators to connect with staff and peers, the space features a rounded multi-level front desk, multi-use lockers designed for leaving daily intentions and inspirational messages, and a “social table” area for guests to mix- and- mingle with each other and the instructors. From the space flow, to its cool décor and social lounge, Current Meditation’s luxury studio updates the perceived image of meditation and creates a welcoming environment for all types of people.

“After very different meditation experiences, my family and I became inspired to launch Current Meditation to fill a void that currently existed in the industry,” said Ross Weisman, president and chief operating officer of Current Meditation. “We launched Current Meditation with the mission to create a meditation concept that was accessible, convenient, and could attract more people to the practice, as a direct result of our previous inconsistent meditation experiences.”

Current Meditation offers membership packages that encourage Valley residents to practice meditation consistently in their daily life, as well as other user-friendly loyalty and rewards programs. Valley residents can sign up for Sneak Peek Week online at www.becurrent.com.

“It’s exciting for us to be able to turn a personal passion project into a concept that can benefit the community, and help people live healthier, happier, and more fulfilling lives,” said Jeffrey Weisman, CEO of Current Meditation.
