Willcox High School will dedicate and cut the ribbon on its new building March 18 after the previous building was destroyed in an overnight fire in January 2011.

With the groundbreaking ceremony in May of 2012 and completion in February, teachers and students enjoyed their first day in the new building Feb. 19.

rsz_willcox_beforeAt nearly 47,000 SF, designed by HDA Architects and constructed by D.L. Withers construction, the new, 2-story building has 16 classrooms, two computer labs, a kitchen and three science labs.

The entire community will be able to relish each new memory the new building has to offer while the memory of that fire remains only a spark.
