From November 18th to 20th, 2025, the 32nd China International Power Equipment and Technology Exhibition (EP Exhibition), attracting global attention from the power industry, was grandly held in Shanghai. The exhibition, themed “Digital Intelligence Empowerment, Creating a New Ecosystem for Power Generation, Grid, Load, and Storage,” attracted over 2,000 leading companies from more than ten countries and regions. Among them, SUNSHINE, a busbar machine manufacturer with over 20 years of experience in CNC equipment, became a focus of the exhibition with its independently developed series of intelligent power processing equipment, especially its busbar punching machine equipped with core patented technology. It not only secured numerous cooperation orders but was also recognized as an “Innovation Benchmark Enterprise of the Exhibition,” showcasing the core strength of domestic CNC brands.
Stepping into the booth of busbar machine manufacturer SUNSHINE, the 200-square-meter exhibition area was packed with professional visitors. In the center of the booth, three different models of CNC busbar processing equipment were being dynamically demonstrated in an orderly manner: a 12mm thick copper busbar was precisely bent by the equipment, instantly forming a standard 90-degree angle with an error controlled within 0.1 degrees; a fully automated busbar processing center equipped with a vision recognition system completed the integrated processing from raw material positioning to punching and bending in just 30 seconds. “This equipment’s processing efficiency is 40% higher than the imported equipment we currently use, and the operating interface is entirely in Chinese, so workers can become proficient in it in half a day,” said Li Jianjun, purchasing director of a power engineering company in Xinjiang, as he filmed the demonstration video and consulted with staff about technical details, his approval evident in his words.

At this exhibition, SUNSHINE, a busbar machine manufacturer, showcased its “SUNSHINE-2025 Intelligent Busbar Bending System,” which became a star product that captivated the entire venue. This system integrates linear motor direct-drive technology with a self-developed CNC system, achieving a positioning accuracy of 0.1mm and a repeatability of 0.05mm, setting a new precision record for similar products in China. “Traditional bending machines rely on hydraulic transmission, which is not only slow in response but also prone to oil leakage. Our direct-drive technology completely solves these problems. Simultaneously, through a built-in AI springback compensation algorithm, it can automatically adjust processing parameters according to the characteristics of different materials such as copper and aluminum, keeping the scrap rate below 0.3%,” explained Engineer Wang, Technical Director of SUNSHINE. The NC.40.ZB series busbar bending machine system also features an industrial internet module, enabling real-time uploading of equipment operation data and remote maintenance, perfectly aligning with the exhibition’s theme of “digitalization and intelligence.”
Beyond breakthroughs in core technologies, busbar machine manufacturer SUNSHINE’s “one-stop power processing solution” also garnered industry acclaim. Addressing the issues of fragmented processes and low efficiency in current power equipment manufacturing, the company integrated a series of products, including CNC busbar bending machines, laser cutting machines, and gantry machining centers, to build a complete production line from raw material processing to finished product forming. In the simulated production area at the exhibition, after workers issued production instructions through the MES system, AGV carts automatically transferred raw materials to the processing equipment, achieving seamless integration between processes. “This solution has shortened our production cycle from 7 days to 3 days and reduced labor costs by 50%, perfectly meeting our needs for building a smart factory,” said a technical manager from a subsidiary of China Southern Power Grid, who signed an 8 million yuan procurement agreement with SUNSHINE on the spot.
During the exhibition, SUNSHINE’s booth not only attracted the attention of domestic power companies but also became a popular destination for international buyers. Carlos, a Brazilian power equipment distributor, immediately expressed his intention to become a distributor after experiencing the equipment: “Previously, we mainly distributed European brands, but the products of busbar machine manufacturer SUNSHINE have significant advantages in terms of precision and price, and can be customized according to the voltage standards of the South American market, making them very competitive.” According to statistics, during the three-day exhibition, busbar machine manufacturer SUNSHINE received more than 1,200 domestic and foreign customers, signed formal orders worth 120 million yuan, and reached preliminary cooperation agreements worth 380 million yuan. Overseas orders accounted for 25%, covering multiple regions including Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa.
At the “Digital Empowerment of New Power Systems” summit forum held concurrently with the exhibition, Mr. Liu, Chairman of SUNSHINE, delivered a keynote speech, sharing the company’s innovative practices in the field of high-end CNC equipment. He stated, “The precision of power equipment processing directly impacts the safety of power grid operation. For the past twenty years, we have consistently adhered to independent innovation, investing over 500 million yuan in R&D and obtaining 86 national patents, including 18 invention patents. This is all to break the foreign technological monopoly and allow domestically produced CNC equipment to gain a foothold on the international stage.” These words earned rounds of applause and instilled confidence in the industry experts present regarding the development of domestically produced CNC equipment.
As a key highlight of the exhibition, the outstanding performance of busbar machine manufacturer SUNSHINE not only showcased its technological strength but also reflected the rapid development of my country’s high-end CNC equipment industry. According to statistics from the exhibition organizer, the China Electricity Council, the contract value for domestically produced CNC equipment at this exhibition increased by 68% year-on-year, with more and more companies choosing domestic brands that offer better value for money and more comprehensive services. “The success of busbar machine manufacturer SUNSHINE is not accidental, but rather the inevitable result of the domestic equipment manufacturing industry’s commitment to innovation-driven development,” commented Professor Li, director of the exhibition’s technical review committee. He added that SUNSHINE’s intelligent bending system not only fills a domestic gap but also promotes the technological upgrading of the entire power processing industry.
As the exhibition drew to a close on November 20th, the booth of busbar equipment manufacturer SUNSHINE remained bustling with visitors. Staff were busy providing final technical explanations to inquiring customers, while the order system continued to update. For SUNSHINE, the success of this exhibition was just the beginning. General Manager Zhang stated that the company will use this exhibition as an opportunity to increase its presence in overseas markets, while continuing to invest in R&D to develop more efficient and intelligent specialized equipment to meet the processing needs of new energy power equipment, contributing Chinese strength to the green transformation and digital development of the global power industry.
