Arizona Grand Resort & Spa, the Valley’s only AAA Four-Diamond all-suite resort, announced today its plans to immediately and permanently increase starting wages for all Housekeeping Room Attendants to $20 per hour – among the highest pay in the State of Arizona for this position.
The pay increase will apply to all existing Room Attendant positions as well as new hires. Full time associates also receive a competitive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental care, eye care and discounted room rates at all of the hotels in the Classic Hotels & Resorts portfolio.

“The pandemic hit our industry hard and these loyal associates have stuck with us through thick and thin,” said General Manager Paul Gray. “We believe this wage increase is the right thing to do and will show them how much we value their hard work and loyalty.”
With the average tenure of Arizona Grand employees topping 10 years or more, and many in leadership positions exceeding 20 years at the resort, a foundation of family-oriented core values has created a service culture that people want to be a part of. These values center on the vision of creating “A HEARTfelt Experience, BEyond Expectations,” where H.E.A.R.T. stands for Helpful, Ethical, Attentive, Resourceful and Thankful.
These qualities were recognized earlier this year, when the resort received AAA’s coveted “Inspector’s Best of Housekeeping” Award for the second year in a row because its “exceptional cleanliness and condition scores put the hotel in the top 25% of 27,000 AAA Inspected & Approved hotels,” according to AAA.
